Pet Admission Enquiry

Admission

Leaving Your Pet With Us

Some animals need to stay. A dog recovering from surgery, a cat on a drip, a rabbit that has stopped eating and needs watching through the night. This form starts that conversation before you arrive, so the ward is ready when you do.

Filling it in does not confirm a bed. A veterinarian reviews every enquiry and calls you back to agree the date, the likely length of stay, and what it will cost. Nothing is admitted, and nothing is charged, until you have had that call.

How Admission Works

  1. You send this enquiry

Tell us about your pet and the reason for the stay. Anything you already know — a diagnosis from another clinic, current medication — helps.

  2. A vet calls you back

Usually the same day. We ask the questions the form cannot, and tell you honestly whether admission is the right call.

  3. Examination on arrival

Your pet is weighed and examined before going into the ward, and any tests needed that day are run in-house.

  4. Treatment and daily updates

One person is responsible for your pet's case. You get a call or a message each day, and you can visit during visiting hours.

  5. Discharge

You leave with written aftercare instructions, the medication needed, and a follow-up date.

An unvaccinated animal can still be admitted; it is housed away from the others.
The Stay
Tell us if your pet bites when frightened. It protects the animal as much as the staff.

What To Bring On The Day

  • Vaccination cardOr any record from a previous clinic.
  • Current medicationIn its original packaging, so the dose is unambiguous.
  • Your pet's usual foodA change of diet on top of a change of place upsets most animals.
  • A familiar blanket or toySomething that smells of home settles a nervous animal faster than anything we can do.
  • Lead, harness or carrierCats and rabbits must arrive in a carrier.
  • Two contact numbersSo we can always reach someone who can make a decision.
